Client Bill of Rights: What You Should Expect From Your Lawyer

The attorney-client relationship is one built on trust and open communication. I wish to begin this relationship by sharing a clear understanding of what you can expect from me. When you come to Hamilton Law Firm, you can rest assured that I will abide by the following client bill of rights:

You have the right to a full and detailed response to all of your questions
You have the right to have your phone calls and emails returned within 24 hours

You have the right to detailed monthly invoices on all hourly cases

You have the right to have retainer fees held in escrow until they are earned by the firm.

You have the right to full disclosure on all aspects of your case

You have the right to accept or reject settlement offers

You have the right to be provided with the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions

You have the right to question each step taken by the attorney and to receive a full explanation of each decision

You have the right to possess copies of all documents filed and correspondence sent on the case, including both electronic and paper documents

The only way to know whether you can work well with an attorney is to meet with that attorney. This provides us with an opportunity to discuss your legal concerns, but also ensures that we will be able to work together effectively. Contact me to schedule an initial consultation.
