Client Bill of Rights: What You Should Expect From Your Lawyer

The attorney-client relationship is one built on trust and open communication. I wish to begin this relationship by sharing a clear understanding of what you can expect from me. When you come to Hamilton Law Firm, you can rest assured that I will abide by the following client bill of rights:

• You have the right to a full and detailed response to all of your questions
You have the right to have your phone calls and emails returned within 24 hours

• You have the right to detailed monthly invoices on all hourly cases

• You have the right to have retainer fees held in escrow until they are earned by the firm.

• You have the right to full disclosure on all aspects of your case

• You have the right to accept or reject settlement offers

• You have the right to be provided with the knowledge necessary to make informed decisions

• You have the right to question each step taken by the attorney and to receive a full explanation of each decision

• You have the right to possess copies of all documents filed and correspondence sent on the case, including both electronic and paper documents
